STAY AWAY FROM THE FULL COVERAGE FOUNDATION!!!!!!

I love full coverage foundation but only when done correctly.
In today’s day and age, thanks to the influence of Instagram, people have taken to the cosmetic stores in search of the fullest coverage foundation in the world in order to achieve the plastic barbie doll look.
There are two things wrong with such a search with the first being that full coverage will not play to everyone’s favor and the second being that barbie’s out and Bratz is in.

Now don’t get me wrong. I LOVE full coverage foundation but only if it works for the person.
Full coverage foundation has the tendency to age a person’s appearance by several years as it can easily settle into fine lines, wrinkles and pores even with the aid of a pore and line filling primer.

In order to avoid this, there are two things to keep in mind.
The first thing to keep a look out for is the coverage of the foundation that you are currently using. If it is extremely full coverage then it would be best to sheer it down with a moisturizer. This will benefit you by moisturizing the face and plumping up the skin, therefore giving you a more radiant and youthful appearance, and will also give save you product as mixing a full coverage foundation with a moisturizer will cause you to use less product compared to using just the foundation alone.
If you do not need the coverage, try using a medium or even a sheer coverage foundation. These allow your natural radiance to shine through, giving you a youthful glow.

The second thing to keep in mind is how you set your foundation.
For those with extremely dry skin, it would be advisable to stay away from setting powders as they will cause the foundation to dry and crack, giving you an aged appearance. If you have dry skin, it would be best to set your makeup with a setting spray as it keeps your makeup in place without drying out your skin.
For those who tend to get oily throughout the day, the best thing to use would be a powder as this will help to absorb the oils that could break down the foundation and cause it to slide around, decreasing the wear time your makeup.

Remember that it is just makeup. Some people apply makeup as a hobby to find peace and relaxation, others want to supplement what’s missing, and the rest just want to go wild and create new and interesting shapes and effects that end up on the cover of vogue magazine
At the end of the day, it is just makeup and there are no set rules.
